MOTORISED BLINDS
West Coast Blinds Ltd are "Somfy Partners" for Electrical Motors and Control Equipment, meaning our staff, advisors and surveyors are all trained and experienced in the design of 'Motorised Systems". Why is that Important? Its important to know how a motor will perform when asked to do its work, the industry has seen a surge in motorisation, with the influx of cheaper Chinese motors, which are generally noisier and simply not up to the task of large blinds, they may work initially, but soon become noisy, need charging more frequently and will have a short life span. Somfy Products are Guaranteed for 5 Years, they are reliable, have great variation and are always installed so that they're more than capable of performing the task required of them.
MOTORS
Our most commonly used Somfy Atus 40 Motor, fitted inside the tube, with enough torque to pull up an 8Mtr Wide Blind, in multiple sections "all together" so that the bottom bar stays level all the way up and down. So we only need to use one motor for the full blind, multiple blinds using multiple motors are not guaranteed to pull up together, making them look untidy when stopped at any interim position.

REMOTE CONTROL
If all that technology frightens you, we can make it all very simple to use, whilst maintaining the "up-scalability" of your system, or if you get a little braver or even acquire some other home equipment that can be used in conjunction with your blinds, such as WiFi alarm systems.
We can simple supply Somfy robust hand controllers, or our customers tend to like "touch sensitive" wall mounted switches, so they don't get lost. This control can operate up to 5 Motors, simply by selecting the correct channel for each window / blind.

There are many fabrics available today, that allow you to see through the fabric, while its down, protecting you and your furniture from the harmful sunlight, so bringing the blind down, doesnt cut off that fabulous view that you put the door in for.

CURTAIN RAILS
Apologies for this poor Video, however it does show a very large pair of Velvet Curtains on a Silent Gliss Track, Remote and Button Operation, these curtains weighed "40kg". The window was a Single Glazed window with some secondary glazing, but was still large and very cold, so the curtains were great at keeping the room warm, however the lady couldn't pull the curtains, so we installed this "bay track, Motorised" and they closed silently, at the touch of a button. So although this video isn't the best, the story is indicative of our customers needs being fulfilled.
